Lucifer and the Nephilim

“Lucifer” is a title. In Latin, it means “the Morning Star.” The Morning Star is another name for the planet Venus.

The King of Babylon was called the Morning Star that fell from heaven, while Jesus is referred to as the Morning Star (Venus in its non-fallen state).

There are several figures in the world who hold this title:

Jesus in White Raiment:

“As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.” (Luke 9:29)
“These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:14)

Quetzalcoatl:
The white feathered serpent god of South America, symbolized by the cross. One of the four directional gods who brought civilization to humanity. He is depicted in white. It is said that after his death, only his heart remained, burning to become the planet Venus.

The White Tiger (Baihu) of China:
One of the four directional gods and the essence of Venus. Also known as the White Emperor, the Dragon King of the West Sea, and Konjin (The Golden God). In Onmyōdō, this name “Konjin” later became associated with a fearsome deity residing in the Northeast (Ushitora) direction.

Ākāśagarbha Bodhisattva of India:
The incarnation of Venus. “Kokū” is the Chinese translation of the Sanskrit “Ākāśa,” referring to the space that holds all knowledge of the past, present, and future. He is depicted in white.

“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” (Revelation 2:7)

“I have also received authority from my Father. I will also give that one the morning star. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 2:28)

“I, Jesus, am… the bright Morning Star.” (Revelation 22:16)

In India, Mitra is the god of contracts and light, who leads a cow as payment for Soma, the elixir of immortality. In Persia, among the same Aryan peoples, Mitra is pronounced Mithra and possesses the aspect of the Morning Star.

When Moses received the Ten Commandments, Aaron (Moses’ brother), whom the Biblical God chose as the priest for the Hebrew people, gave the people an idol: the Golden Calf.

“So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.'” (Exodus 32:3-4)

This occurred during the Exodus, after Aaron had been chosen for the priesthood. However, Moses rejected and destroyed the Golden Calf, ordering the people to place the tablets of the Ten Commandments in a chest and worship it as the Sacred Ark (the Ark of the Covenant). Later, the Kingdom of Israel split; the Northern Kingdom worshipped the Golden Calf as their ancestral god, while the Southern Kingdom of Judah enshrined the Ark.

“After seeking advice, the king (Jeroboam) made two golden calves. He said to the people, ‘It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Here are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.’ One he set up in Bethel, and the other in Dan.” (1 Kings 12:28-29)

The priestly classes of the Brahmins in India, Persia, and the Hittites (Heth) all share the same Aryan lineage. In ancient India, Mitra was worshipped alongside Varuna, the god of water. In the Buddhist era, Mitra became Maitreya Bodhisattva.

In Persia, Varuna of the Asura clan (pronounced “Ahura” in Persia, “Asura” in India) ascended to the highest position as the god of light, Ahura Mazda. Originally, Asuras were a clan of light. In early Indian Buddhism, they were demoted to demons, but in Mahayana Buddhism, the Asura king Virochana became Vairocana Buddha (Dainichi Nyorai), the supreme Buddha of light in Esoteric Buddhism.

In Aryan mythology, Mitra and Varuna are different names for the Four Agnis, the four languages of the celestial realm. Indra, Mitra, Varuna, and Agni are collectively called the Four Agnis.

“Speech hath been measured out in four divisions, the Brahmans who have understanding know them. Three kept in close concealment cause no motion; of the fourth division of speech men utter. They call him Indra, Mitra, Varuna, Agni, and he is heavenly nobly-winged Garutman. To what is One, sages give many a title: they call it Agni, Yama, Matarisvan. They fly up to the sky, wrapping themselves in water along the black path.” (Rig Veda)

In Genesis, the Hebrew patriarch Abraham resided in Hebron, a land of the Hittites (sons of Heth), and purchased a field containing the Cave of Machpelah from them as a burial place for his wife, Sarah. At that time, the Hittites had expanded from their homeland in Asia Minor into the Middle East. In the treaty documents between the Hittite king Suppiluliuma I (14th century BC) and the Kingdom of Mitanni, the names Indra, Varuna, and Mitra appear.

The land of Hebron, where Abraham purchased the cave, was later invaded by the Tribe of Judah after the Hebrew conquest of Canaan. Those who lived in Hebron and fought the Hebrews were the descendants of the Nephilim—the heroes born from the union of the “sons of God” and the “daughters of men” before the Great Flood.

“The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.” (Genesis 6:4)

They were a race of giants. Hebron was originally called Kiriath Arba, named after Arba, a legendary hero of the Nephilim. The lands inhabited by the descendants of the Nephilim—those who were destroyed by the Hebrews—were known by names such as Ashtaroth (the Mesopotamian goddess of Venus, Ishtar) and Debir.

“Sarah died at Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.” (Genesis 23:2)

“The people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes.” (Numbers 13:32-33)

“Hebron used to be called Kiriath Arba after Arba, who was the greatest man among the Anakites.” (Joshua 14:15)

“Og king of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth…” (Deuteronomy 1:4)

“Og king of Bashan was the last of the Rephaites. His bed was decorated with iron… It was nine cubits long (4.05m) and four cubits wide (1.8m).” (Deuteronomy 3:11)

“The Emites used to live there—a people strong and numerous, and as tall as the Anakites. Like the Anakites, they too were considered Rephaites.” (Deuteronomy 2:10-11)

“At that time Joshua went and destroyed the Anakites from the hill country: from Hebron, Debir and Anab… Joshua totally destroyed them and their towns.” (Joshua 11:21)

In the Book of Enoch (composed around the 1st–2nd century), which is not included in the biblical canon, Azazel (who appears in Leviticus) is described as one of the leaders of the fallen angels who rebelled against God. These fallen angels, called the Watchers (Egregori), produced the giant race of Nephilim with human women. The Book of Enoch explains that the purpose of Noah’s Flood was to destroy these Nephilim.

Hittite treaties (14th century BC) mention Indra, Varuna, and Mitra. Abraham purchased the Cave of Machpelah in Hebron from the Hittites. Hebron was formerly Kiriath Arba, the land of the Nephilim—the giants born to the “sons of God” and human women. Their territory included sites like Ashtaroth and Debir. The Book of Enoch states that the Great Flood was intended to purge these Nephilim from the earth.
